Cambridge Assessment English:

 

B2 First

The Cambridge Assessment English: B2 First course aims to help students understand intermediate and upper intermediate levels of English, demonstrate independent study skills and take internationally recognised exams.

The B2 First course begins with a placement test and orientation, during which students are introduced to the B2 First exam and to their student peers.

The Cambridge Assessment English: B2 First course includes the following lessons:

  • Vocabulary lessons such as ‘Entertainment Vocabulary’ and ‘Adjectives of Feeling
  • Listening lessons such as ‘Sentence Completion’ and ‘Interview Strategies’
  • Speaking lessons such as ‘Comparing’ and ‘Language for Agreeing and Disagreeing’
  • Grammar lessons such as ‘Time Expressions’
  • Writing lessons such as ‘Informal Emails’ and ‘Editing for Register’
  • Skill integration lessons such as a ‘Speaking Skills’ that combines vocabulary from the reading, grammar and vocabulary lessons

Progress is measured throughout the B2 First course and there is a review of unit material at the end of each week.

 

C1 Advanced

The Cambridge Assessment English: C1 Advanced course aims to help students understand upper intermediate and advanced levels of English, demonstrate independent study skills and take internationally recognised exams.

The C1 Advanced course begins with a placement test and orientation, during which students are introduced to the C1 Advanced exam and to their student peers.

The Cambridge Assessment English: C1 Advanced course includes the following lessons:

  • Vocabulary lessons such as ‘Character Adjectives’ and ‘Dictionary Skills’
  • Speaking lessons which include Oxford University Press (OUP) videos
  • Listening lessons such as ‘Authentic Listening’ and ‘Short Extracts’
  • Grammar lessons such as ‘Relative Clauses’ and ‘Gerunds/Infinitives’
  • Writing lessons such as ‘Formal Letters’ and ‘Writing a Response to a Film'
  • Reading lessons such as the ‘Book Intro’ and ‘Multiple Choice’

Progress is measured throughout the C1 Advanced course and there is a review of unit material at the end of each week.

 

C2 Proficiency

Students who have taken the Cambridge English: Proficiency course will be fully prepared for the internationally recognised CPE exam. It is aimed at students with an advanced or proficient level of English.

The C1 Proficiency course begins with a placement test and orientation, during which students are introduced to the C1 Proficiency exam and to their student peers.

The Cambridge Assessment English: C2 Proficiency course includes the following lessons:

  • Vocabulary lessons such as ‘Collocations Practice’ and ‘Idioms with Friendship’
  • Grammar lessons such as ‘Conditionals and Wishes/Preferences'
  • Speaking lessons such as ‘Interactive Communication'
  • Listening lessons such as ‘Phrasal Verbs in Everyday Use’
  • Writing lessons such as ‘Writing a Letter’

Progress is measured throughout the C1 Proficiency course and there is a review of unit material at the end of each week.
