English for Coders is available at our London centre and San Francisco. The course runs for three weeks.
The course will help students:
- Improve their basic coding and computer programming skills through building online platforms and games
- Through group work and an online platform build either a website and app or a game
- Learn specialised coding vocabulary and terms
- Explore coding as a future career
- Learn functional language such as language for meetings, giving opinions, problem solving and presenting
Students on this course will also have the opportunity to take part in talks by qualified coders and visit tech companies.
This course is a fantastic way for students to explore coding as a future career, whilst at the same time improving their English, having fun and exploring a new city. As well as a focus on English for Coding, this course includes:
- 20 lessons of focused training and development per week
- 6 additional afternoon lessons of General English per week
- Residential accommodation on university campuses
- All meals, with a healthy and varied menu
- 24-hour care, supervision, and support
- Activities and excursions related to the course
- Airport transfers (supplements apply)
- All course materials and a leaving certificate
Students will enjoy meals and some activities with the general programme students, along with some alternative activities and excursions related to their studies
